Chocolate Raspberry Jam



Enjoy this homemade jam and the rich, luscious combination of chocolate and raspberries. Ideal for putting a gourmet touch on your desserts or spreading on toast in the morning.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Wash the raspberries thoroughly and drain them

In a large saucepan, combine the raspberries, sugar, and water

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, continuing to stir and mash the raspberries with a fork or potato masher

Stir in the cocoa powder, lemon juice, and vanilla extract

Continue to simmer for another 5-7 minutes, or until the jam thickens to your desired consistency

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the jam cool for a few minutes

Transfer the chocolate raspberry jam to sterilized jars and seal them tightly

Allow the jam to cool completely before storing it in the refrigerator

It will continue to thicken as it cools
